A list is a strip or strip of paper, fabric or other material . The concept is often used to name the enumeration It is carried out with a certain purpose. The lists are made in the form of column and can be completed with ingredients, quantities, names of people or any other data, depending on the purpose in question.
It is possible to talk about a Guest List to refer to the people that the organizer of a event pretend to invite There are guest lists for birthdays, weddings, product presentations, etc. For example: “Excuse me, but you cannot enter: your name is not part of the guest list”, “Tomorrow I have to deliver the list to the party room but I still haven't finished making it”.
Precisely also within the scope of the celebrations are other types of very important lists. We are referring to what are known as wedding lists or birth lists. Specifically those are the ones that make the bride and groom, in the first case, and the future parents, in the second place, establishing all the items they need. In this way, those invited to these celebrations can give them any of those.
Other use of the list is related to the announcement yet equipment or campus. In these cases, the list is assembled with the names of those who will be part of the actions: “Rodriguez was surprised to see his name on the summoned list”, "Sources close to the coach say that the captain will not be on the list of the Copa América to be held next month".
However, there are other types of lists that are precisely historical in their case. Precisely one of them is the one that gives title to a movie. We are referring to "The Schlinder List", a film directed by the great Steven Spielberg in 1993 and that tells the real case of Oskar Schlinder, a German businessman who during the Nazism era saved more than 1100 Jews from a certain death or having to be held in concentration camps.
In 2009, an original library was found in an Australian library, the original list that that Germanic man, curiously from the Nazi party, wrote of his handwriting and establishing the names and surnames of all the Jews he would save from a bloody future.
In addition to all of the above, we cannot ignore that the term list also has special relevance in gastronomy. Specifically in Madrid there is a typical sweet of the Fiestas de San Isidro that receives that name. It is a donut that is bathed in sugar, lemon and egg.
It is common for people to make lists to not forget any product at the time of shopping : "I've already written apples, milk and water on the list ... do we need anything else?", “I think we are going to spend a lot of money: look at the extension of the shopping list”.
A smart individual, finally, is the one who turns out shrewd, expeditious or diligent : “The boy is very smart: he always solves the problems of the clients in a few minutes”.
